Prices may start to climb but the ladder is shaky
There will be some higher-priced cold-rolled steel sheet in coil in the U.S. marketplace in July. But, the attempted July list price increases of $60 to $80 aren’t coming off any recovery of real demand but only reflect some mill executives’ perceptions of inventory-rebuilding needs among service centers and end users.
